Twas The Day Before Christmas
Santa isn’t the only kid back in town…
Consider this an early Christmas present for all you dedicated readers of this site. You’ll be pleased to note that my absences due to training is finally at a reasonable conclusion, and yours truly has immerged the better for it. Things continue, as they always do, and after the new year classes and training will resume, however in more of a nine-to-five style and setting; though I am more inclined to believe that it will be more along the lines of a five-to-nine time frame. Such is the way of the gun.
For the time being, I am home in Maine, visiting with the folks and family, and enjoying the subtle pleasures of life and memories of youth that I, and perhaps we, take for granted from time to time. Don’t mistake; I do have topics for this forum - I have not been left without opinion during my time of pain consumption and starvation. For now, though, I think I will not attempt to tackle such subjects as such, because… well… ’tis the season. However, subjects to look forward to would be Sen. Edwards throwing his hat into the presidential ring with such cavalier, the turns (or rather lack thereof) in the Iraq conflict, the general malady of celebrity blunders, children, marriages and divorces, as well as the under-reported triumphs of the common man (oh and a by-the-way congratulations to all of you for becoming Time Magazine’s Person of the Year! Kudos to all!), and lastly the increasing slump of my Super Bowl hopefuls, The Cincinnati Bengals. Just a snapshot.
So to all of you out there who have been loyally checking my humble site for any sort of semblance of life, your prayers have been answered; after all, this isn’t Mount Hood. Yes Virginia, there is a Guttersnake, and he will be back writing in full for the New Year. Did everyone get what he or she wanted? Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day!
